Mountview

Following the successful rebrand of Carl Turner Architects to Turner.Works, the practice completed one of its most significant projects to date, Mountview, a landmark drama school and community education space in Peckham.

To showcase the building's architectural ambition and its wider social purpose, CONCRETE scripted, storyboarded and scene planned a short film that positioned Mountview as more than a theatre. It told the story of a building designed to inspire creativity, education and community engagement, demonstrating its role as a catalyst for the local community.

Recognising CONCRETE's strategic approach, Mountview later commissioned us directly to develop Take a Seat, an original community engagement concept designed to build lasting partnerships between local businesses and the drama school.

The campaign invited local businesses to sponsor access to the theatre, giving children from disadvantaged and vulnerable backgrounds regular opportunities to experience live performances, workshops and creative education. In return, sponsoring organisations would demonstrate their commitment to the local community while helping create a sustainable funding model that benefited Mountview and the wider community.

Take a Seat reflects CONCRETE's approach to communications. We do more than promote places and brands. We develop ideas that connect businesses with communities, create shared value and leave a lasting legacy.
