The hardest working member of your team.
Your website is often the first impression a client has of your business. It should be the hardest working member of your team.
When CONCRETE began working with Flanagan Lawrence over ten years ago, the practice had an exceptional portfolio, but its website wasn't doing it justice. Dark colour palettes, small imagery and content-heavy layouts distracted from what mattered most - the architecture.
CONCRETE's solution was simple: put the buildings front and centre. A lighter, contemporary design, refreshed typography, large-format photography and architectural drawings created a website where the projects became the hero. After all, an architect's website should showcase pictures, drawings and photographs, not pages of text.
Designed to evolve, the website has grown alongside the practice for over a decade, adapting to new projects, sectors and campaigns without losing its clarity or identity.
We also transformed the staff pages, replacing traditional headshots with personality-led imagery chosen by each individual. The result is a more authentic website that reflects Flanagan Lawrence's collaborative culture as much as its architecture.
As FLINT (Flanagan Lawrence Interiors) expanded, CONCRETE created a distinct website and editorial platform to position the studio as a specialist interiors practice. Alongside project showcases, Stories provides an evergreen journal covering craftsmanship, materials, making, collaborations and industry insight, enabling FLINT to communicate continuously rather than only when projects are completed.
Whilst Flanagan Lawrence and FLINT regularly collaborate, establishing FLINT as a standalone brand enables the studio to build its own reputation and work confidently with other architectural practices without any perceived conflict of interest.
Today, more than ten years on, CONCRETE continues to manage both websites as part of a full-service retained partnership, delivering project updates, campaign content, functionality improvements and technical enhancements to ensure both platforms continue to support PR, marketing and business development.
A great website doesn't just showcase your work. It works for your business every single day.
